Military to Mariner Program (Merchant Marines)
Got a good set of sea legs? If you’re looking for another way to make a difference — and log some time on the high seas — you might consider the Military to Mariner (M2M) Program or Merchant Marines.
Working on a civilian-owned merchant ship, you’ll help transport goods and services while getting hands-on experience in maritime operations. The program focuses on helping veterans leverage their experience, but you don’t have to have served to join, and you’ll remain a civilian if you do.
